Hi. My Name is Kieran Geehan. Thank you for taking the time to visit MachPhotographer. Where does one start on a Bio of ones life and background? Born in Belfast Northern Ireland, Lived in Scotland and grew up In Paris France before moving to the USA and Currently living in the Great Pacific Northwest. I am an Airline Pilot for a major Airline by trade. My career and life experiences have given me a unique perspective on the world from the views from my office, to the world travel I get to partake in. I have a great opportunity to travel the world and carry my Canon 5d Mk IV with me everywhere I go.
Machphotographer is my way of sharing some of my experiences of the world of Aviation and Travel. My career is Aviation but one could say that my Japanese “Ikigai” 生き甲斐 or “reason for being.", similar to the French “Raison D’etre”, is Photography. My photography is a work in progress but a fun process all the same. I have been given a great opportunity to see things that most will never see and I plan to capture every moment I can. Please come with me on this journey.

I am truly Honored to able to say that I have been selected as a Feature Photographer in Photography Masterclass Magazine. This is an Awesome online publication that was designed to help photographers at every skill level boost their skills and get more satisfaction from their photography—all from one helpful resource. Learn helpful tips on setting up, composing and editing your photographs, as well as pro tips on gear and experience in the field.
The Article will be featured in the January 1st, 2022 edition of the magazine and will describe some of the challenges, techniques and equipment used in my photography. It will feature a sampling of my photography from around the world and some of my aviation shots. Below are a few examples of the photos to be published.
